Cornwall-born allrounder Emily Edgcombe made her debut for the county in 2014, before moving to represent Devon from 2017 in domestic cricket, whom she captained in the 2019 Twenty20 Cup.

A left-arm seamer, she charts Mitchell Starc as her favourite cricketer on account of their similar skillset.

Edgcombe has been well known to English cricket for some time: she was part of the national development programme from under-15 level and played twice against Scotland in 2017.

Away from the game, she is an NHS worker. According to a comment made to Western Storm’s official website, during her youth she once played football against Arsenal Women.
