Twenty-year-old seamer Lauren Filer won the Harry Burden Bursary Award in 2019, an annual prize co-funded by Somerset County Sports and designed to support a young cricketer in the region.
On the same day, it was first announced that she would represent Welsh Fire in The Hundred, albeit before the inaugural edition of the tournament was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Filer plays her club cricket for Weston-super-Mare and was part of the Somerset side in 2019 that won Division Two of the Twenty20 Cup.
She has also played for Somerset alongside twin sister Jodie, while both sisters have also played football for local club Hutton, with Lauren spending time on trial with Bristol City when she was younger.
She featured three times in the 2020 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, taking three wickets.
