England seamer Jofra Archer has reiterated his desire to take India captain Virat Kohli's wicket during this summer's World Cup, and believes his relaxed attitude could prove important.

The 24-year-old twice played against Kohli for the Rajasthan Royals during the recent Indian Premier League but was unable to dismiss the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper.

Kohli responded to Archer comments suggesting he was targetting world's No.1 ODI batsman by suggesting the West Indian can be England's "X Factor" during the upcoming tournament.

But Archer admitted: "I didn't really see it.

"Kohli is one of those people you'd just like to get out. You always want to get the best batsman in every team really."

India face hosts England at Edgbaston on June 30, both side's final match of the group phase.

By that stage, Sussex bowler Archer will hope to have added to his short international career, which has been restricted to a handful of outings in the recent one-day series against Pakistan.

In stark contrast to his aggressive, rapid bowling, Archer is cool, calm and collected off-the-field and he feel ssuch an approach suits him well.

"Sometimes the pressure is good," he added. "Some people deal with it in their own way but I wouldn't say it gives me an advantage.

"Sometimes you can be too relax. I don't think it is a big advantage but it helps in some situations."

Archer took the new ball again as England thumped Afghanistan in their final warm-up match, preparing for their opener against South Africa with a nine-wicket success at The Oval.

As a wicketless Chris Woakes persevered at one end, Archer finished with 3-32 and has hailed his partnership with the Warwickshire seamer.

"We do go well together," he added. "We don't fight for ends either.

"We swing the ball different ways so we don't usually end up bowling from the same end at once."
