Sydney Thunder take on Hobart Hurricanes in the 47th game of the 2021-22 Big Bash.
The game is set for Thursday, January 12. The first ball will be bowled at 3.45pm local time (4.45am GMT).
The game will be held at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne.
Both sides are in the right half of the table, with Sydney Thunder flying - they sit 15 points clear of fifth-placed Brisbane Heat - and Hobart Hurricanes currently occupying fourth spot.
Thunder have rolled along consistently, losing just three of their 11 matches. However, they have lost England pair Sam Billings and Saqib Mahmood, with Jason Sangha - the tournament's third-highest run-scorer - at the helm in the absence of Chris Green.
The departure of Mahmood has at least been offset by the signing of Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain, who announced his arrival with a triple-wicket maiden against Adelaide Strikers.
Hobart, meanwhile, have been without talisman Matthew Wade for personal reasons, but he returns for this one.
They have so far been indebted to the form of Ben McDermott, whose consecutive centuries earlier in the competition have left him streets ahead in the run stakes: he has 495 at an average of 61.87.
Yorkshire batter Harry Brook is ending his spell early to join up with England's T20 squad in the Caribbean. He has managed just 44 runs in seven innings.

It's a battle of the leg-spinners, with Tanveer Sangha and Sandeep Lamichhane going up against one another in Melbourne. Both will have key wickets in their sights.
Alex Hales has begun to find form for Thunder, while McDermott is very much the key man for Hurricanes.
By comparison, D'Arcy Short has had a quiet time of things, but he has still managed 306 runs, albeit at an unusually pedestrian strike rate.

Bookmakers are offering odds of 8/13 for a Thunder victory, with Hurricanes available at 6/4.
Thunder should have too much for a Hurricanes side that - for all its batting firepower - has been inconsistent thus far.
