Rumana Ahmed recovers from knee injury to make Bangladesh's 15-woman T20 World Cup squad

The allrounder is one of 13 players to return to the tournament after appearing at the 2018 edition in the West Indies

Bangladesh have named a familiar side for next month's Women's T20 World Cup, with 13 players returning from both 2018 edition and their run to the tournament's Qualifier title in Scotland last summer.

Salma Khatun will lead the side into the tournament for the third time, while her deputy Rumana Ahmed comes back into the squad after a knee injury ruled her out of the the qualification process.

Ahmed and veteran quick Panna Ghosh are the two players in the 15-woman squad who did not participate in Bangladesh's tournament title run in September, while opening bat Murshida Khatun and 17-year-old allrounder Sobhana Mostary are both lined up to make their maiden World Cup trips.

Sharmin Akhter and Lata Mondol are the only two members of the country's winless side from the 2018 tournament who have not earned spots this time around, however Mondol and Shaila Sharmin have both been named among five potential substitutes should replacement players be required.

Bangladesh open their tournament under lights against India in Perth on February 24, and will also meet New Zealand, Sri Lanka and defending champions Australia in Group A action.
