Ellie Mitchell joined up with Lightning in early 2021.

Beginning her career with Cornwall, the 19-year old hit her highest score of 158 not out in 2018 and was also a part of Western Storm's championship-winning squad in the 2019 Kia Super League.

A dangerous leg-spinner and aggressive batter, Mitchell toured India with the England academy in 2019.

She has studied for a sports physiotherapy degree at Loughborough.
