Bethan Ellis joined the Lightning squad in 2020 after progressing through the Warwickshire age groups and academy system.

The 21-year old played every match in her first season, opening the batting with Sarah Bryce and taking six wickets, including best figures of 3 for 25, with her right-arm swing bowling. However, she made just one appearance in 2021 as well as spending time in the Welsh Fire squad during The Hundred.

Ellis has studied for a master's degree in musculoskeletal sports science and health at Loughborough University alongside her cricket career.
