Scorecard

Pretoria Capitals saw their winning run in the SA20 ended by an inspired death-bowling display by Joburg Super Kings in Johannesburg.

Aaron Phangiso claimed 4 for 32 before Romario Shepherd (2 for 28) defended 12 off the final over.

Player of the match Leus du Plooy hammered an unbeaten 75 off 40 balls as Super Kings made 168 for 6 from their 20 overs.

Eathan Bosch took three wickets in the final over to limit the damage.

Capitals lost wickets at regular intervals across the reply but were able to keep themselves in check.

Will Jacks (16) and Rilee Rossouw were dismissed in successive deliveries to reduce them to 30 for 2.

They rallied and Jimmy Neesham lashed three successive sixes of Phangiso at the start of the 14th over to leave them needing 52 from 37 balls.

But the Kiwi was bowled the very next ball but Wayne Parnell found the rope three times to reduce the equation to 28 off 18.

Bosch (15) was caught behind off Gerald Coetzee and Migael Pretorius was run out after a ludicrous bit of running involving Parnell.

Adil Rashid crashed a six over long-on to leave a dozen needed off the last, but Shepherd produced a series of slower deliveries and claimed wickets off the final two balls to secure a dramatic victory.
