Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has become the latest sporting figure to lend his backing to Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Via his Instagram account, the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona coach posted a video displaying a replica RCB shirt.

In a message alongside the post, he added: "It’s time to finally learn cricket’s rules. Thanks to my friend Virat Kohli for the shirt. Now is your turn to use your Man City shirt."

Back in October, Guardiola and Kohli engaged in an Instagram live session, organised by Puma who are the kit manufacturer for both City and RCB.

Among the subjects debated between the pair was the concept of playing behind closed doors and how to remain motivated at an elite level.

Prior to the 2021 competition, in another sponsor-heavy post, eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt lent his support to Kohli's side via social media.

RCB have made a perfect start to the 14th edition of the IPL, winning their opening four games in a row for the first time.

Victories over Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have taken Kohli's side to the top of the table.
