Sunrisers Hyderabad meet Punjab Kings in the 2021 Indian Premier League.
The game is scheduled for 6pm UAE (3pm BST, 7.30pm IST) on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The two sides will meet at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Both sides have endured a pretty torrid IPL campaign thus far, but Sunrisers Hyderbad have had a sorry time of it. Bottom of the table, with just one victory to their name, they enter the clash on the back of a brutal 8 wicket defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals.
Their batting has simply not been good enough, often appearing stodgy and one-paced.
There needs to be a serious turnaround in form if Sunrisers are to compete.
Punjab Kings arrive having lost a game they had all but sown up, failing to score the 8 runs they needed from two overs, largely thanks to a superb final over from Rajasthan Royals’ Kartik Tyagi.
They’ve won three games in the tournament thus far, and while they have by no means been a consistently good side, they have the ingredients to compete with the best, and are clear favourites entering the fixture.
Punjab Kings are heavily fancied to win this one, with Dafabet offering odds of 8/13. Sunrisers Hyderabad are available at 5/4.
Dafabet are backing David Warner to top-score for Sunrisers, offering odds of 21/10. KL Rahul is available at 15/8 for Punjab Kings.
Sunrisers really don’t have much cause to shout from the rooftops right now, but in Abdul Samad they have a gem.
At just 19, Samad looked in control as he top-scored with 28 against Delhi Capitals in their last fixture. A lot of weight is on the young right-handers shoulders: Samad has at times looked like the only Sunrisers middle-order man capable of playing a modern T20 innings.
Kings boast Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram, two of the more in-form batters in the world of T20.
Markram has had something of a breakthrough season: he has never quite clicked in the short form of the game until recently, despite his obvious ability, but has now cemented his place at the top of South Africa’s batting order.
After failing to see Kings over the line against Rajasthan, he will be sorely hoping to go one step further this time and hit his side to victory.
Sunrisers replacement overseas Sherfane Rutherford has left the team bubble following the news of his father’s death, while bowler Umran Malik joins the squad as a temporary replacement for T Natarajan, who is in quarantine.
They may also consider leaving David Warner out of the side following his poor run of form, with England’s Jason Roy the frontrunner to replace him, should the change be made.
Punjab Kings may be tempted to tweak their bowler heavy line-up, though it’s likely they will remain unchanged.
The two teams have played each other 17 times.
Sunrisers Hyderabad wins: 12
Punjab Kings wins: 5
Temperatures are set to hit 35 Celsius at the start of this game.

Yes, a limited number of fans are allowed to attend games during the IPL's UAE leg.
Sunrisers will be desperate for another win, but they appear to all intents and purpose a thoroughly dejected outfit. Punjab Kings will be keen to bounce back from their ridiculous defeat last time around, and could not have chosen a better opponent to do so against. Kings to win.
