What’s the match?

Sunrisers Hyderabad meet Mumbai Indians in the 30th match of the 2021 IPL. The game was due to be the 31st of the competition, but Monday's scheduled game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore was postponed because of a Covid-19 outbreak in the KKR camp.

When is it taking place?

The game is scheduled for 7.30pm IST (3pm BST) on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Where is the match being played?

Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium will stage the match.

Who’s got the form?

Definitely not SRH. Sunrisers Hyderabad are on a miserable run in the 2021 Indian Premier League, with just one win from their seven matches so far.

Mumbai Indians have been far from consistent during the competition to date but have still managed more victories than defeats - four and three - and go into this game fresh off the back of a monumental batting performance against Chennai Super Kings, which saw a successful chase of 219, the second highest in IPL history.

Rohit Sharma has 250 runs at the top of the order in this year's competition for Mumbai, while Jonny Bairstow is two behind for SRH. Manish Pandey is averaging a shade over 48 in the 2021 IPL for Sunrisers.

Rahul Chahar of MI - ranked 160th in the T20 Player Index - is the fourth top wicket-taker in the competition with 11, with an economy of 7.21. Rashid Khan has 10 wickets for SRH, with an economy of 6.14, bowling primarily through the middle overs.

What are the odds?

Dafabet have Mumbai Indians as the hot favourites to win this match, offering odds of 8/15. Sunrisers Hyderabad, the rank outsiders, are available at long odds - 6/4.

SRH recently removed David Warner from the top of the order, and that will have contributed to their opening pair being the outsiders in the head-to-head battle with Mumbai's openers.

You can back the SRH openers to get more runs than their opponents at even-money, with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai shorter priced at 17/20.

Who are the ones to watch?

There remains plenty of interest in Kane Williamson's captaincy of SRH, following David Warner's removal.

All eyes will be on Pollard to see if he can repeat the bombastic innings which he produced against CSK.

What's the team news?

Sunrisers made such a big call in cutting Warner against Rajasthan Royals, and the decision did not bear fruit as the SRH batting line-up faltered. It will be intriguing to see whether the selectors continue to leave the Australian out.

Given their desperate need for top-order runs, a return for Warner, Jonny Bairstow dropping to No.4, and Mohammad Nabi missing out would be a reasonable call.

Sandeep Sharma could be replaced by Siddharth Kaul.

Mumbai will have a decision to make over who of Ishan Kishan, Jayant Yadav or Jimmy Neesham plays.

What's the head to head record?

The two teams have played each other 17 times.

Sunrisers Hyderabad wins: 8

Mumbai Indians wins: 9

What's the weather forecast?

The heatwave in Delhi continues, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius. Medium-range forecasts suggest a period of sustained, heavy rain is on its way, though that may not come as soon as this fixture.

Are fans allowed in?

No, this match will be played behind closed doors owing to the Covid-19 situation in India.

What’s the prediction?

It is difficult to see SRH's dismal start to the season improving against perhaps the best T20 side in world cricket.
