The game is scheduled for 2pm UAE (11am BST, 3.30pm IST) on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Where is the match being played?

The two sides will meet at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.

Who’s got the form?

Delhi Capitals are second in the IPL table after 10 matches, behind Chennai Super Kings on net run rate. The 2020 runners-up have been defeated just twice in this season and are currently on a four-match winning streak. Since arriving in the UAE, the Capitals have defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets and Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders are well and truly in the race for play-off qualification, with four wins and six defeats in their 10 matches to date. The Knight Riders lost five of their eight matches in India before starting the UAE leg with a seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians. In their most recent outing, they suffered a two-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings.

In the reverse fixture Delhi Capitals won by seven wickets.

What are the odds?

Delhi Capitals are the favourites to take this one, with Dafabet offering odds of 4/6. Kolkata Knight Riders are available at 6/5.

Shubman Gill is the favourite to top-score for KKR, with odds of 13/5, while Shikhar Dhawan is available at 11/5 for Delhi Capitals.

Who are the ones to watch?

Shreyas Iyer has impressed with the bat for Delhi Capitals in the UAE, scoring 47 not out off 41 balls against Sunrisers and 43 off 32 against Rajasthan Royals. The 26-year-old missed the first half of the tournament through injury but is shining on his return to the XI. Showman Rishabh Pant has been Iyer's third-wicket partner in Delhi's past two outings, with the duo sharing stands of 62 (45 balls) and 67 (42).

With the ball, Anrich Nortje, ranked 178th in the T20 Player Index, has taken four wickets in two appearances to date, returning figures of 2 for 12 against Sunrisers and 2 for 18 against Rajasthan.

For KKR, Rahul Tripathi is their form batsman. The 30-year-old has scored 119 runs in his past two matches - 11 more than Shubman Gill, Venkatesh Iyer and Eoin Morgan combined. Tripathi is unsurprisingly KKR's leading run-scorer, with 306 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 143.66. Lower down the order, there could be fireworks from Dinesh Karthik, who struck 26 runs off just 11 balls against Chennai Super Kings.

What's the team news?

Tim Southee replaces Pat Cummins in KKR's squad for the UAE leg.

Chris Woakes is unavailable for Delhi Capitals after opting out of the second half of the tournament while Marcus Stoinis, who missed the match against Rajasthan with an injured hamstring, is a doubt. Sam Billings, who arrived in the UAE on September 21, could be selected for Delhi, depending on his match fitness after his six-day quarantine.

Kolkata Knight Riders wins: 14

No result: 1
