Delhi Capitals meet Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 Indian Premier League.
The game is scheduled for 6pm UAE (3pm BST, 7.30pm IST) on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai will stage the match.
Delhi Capitals enjoyed a strong first half of the 2021 Indian Premier League, winning six of their eight matches to head to the UAE in second place (Chennai Super Kings are top on net run rate). Only Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals have defeated the Capitals this year and with a six-point cushion over fifth place, they stand a very good chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, by contrast, are marooned at the bottom of the table with just one win - a nine-wicket victory over Punjab Kings - under their belt. Sitting six points off fourth place with seven matches remaining, Sunrisers are by no means out of contention for the knockout stages but require a dramatic upturn in form.
In the reverse fixture, Delhi edged a tied encounter in a Super Over.
Dafabet have unsurprisingly backed Delhi Capitals as the favourites for victory in this fixture, offering odds of 4/6. Sunrisers are available at 6/5.
Shikhar Dhawan is the favourite to top-score for Delhi, with odds of 11/5, while David Warner is at 15/8 to lead the way for Sunrisers.
Shikhar Dhawan was the leading run-scorer in the India leg of the 2021 IPL, scoring 380 runs, including three half-centuries, at a strike rate of 134.27. Only Virat Kohli (6081) has scored more career IPL runs than the 35-year-old's 5,577-run haul and if he brings his form to the UAE, a few more half-centuries should be a given.
Also keep an eye on wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. The 23-year-old, ranked 72nd on the T20 Player Index, is carefree with the bat, never shying away from a risky shot, and completely unpredictable. When it comes off, he's box office; when it doesn't, he looks rash - but whichever Pant shows up, he's always enormous fun.
In Hyderabad's star-studded line-up, Rashid Khan is the name which leaps out. The pocket Afghan, ranked fifth on the T20 Player Index, was hugely effective with the ball in the first half of the season, taking 10 wickets and bowling with an economy of 6.14. Striking the ball at 130.76, he's also good value with the bat.
It will also be interesting to see what role Sherfane Rutherford plays in the team, with the West Indian coming in as a replacement for Jonny Bairstow. Rutherford arrives in the UAE from the Caribbean Premier League, where he scored 262 runs, including three half-centuries, for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.
Chris Woakes is unavailable for Delhi Capitals after opting not to travel to the UAE. Likewise, Jonny Bairstow is absent for Sunrisers Hyderabad, with Sherfane Rutherford signed as a replacement. Kane Williamson will captain Sunrisers after David Warner was sacked during the first half of the tournament.
The two teams have played each other 19 times.
Delhi Capitals wins: 8
Sunrisers Hyderabad wins: 11
Sunshine, intermittent cloud cover, and a gentle breeze is forecast for Wednesday, with temperatures peaking at a sweltering 37 degrees Celsius.

Yes, a limited number of fans are allowed to attend games during the IPL's UAE leg.
Delhi Capitals should be too strong for an out of sorts Sunrisers side. Delhi win - and not in a Super Over this time.
