Northants have announced that Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer has re-joined the club on a short-term basis
Coetzer - who led Scotland to a historic One-Day International victory over England at Edinburgh last month - featured for the club between 2011 - 2015, and was part of Northants' T20 Blast-winning squad in 2013.
The 34-year-old is available immediately and has been included in the squad to face Nottinghamshire Outlaws this evening (Friday June 6).
The top-order batsman has scored 2,324 runs at an average of 25.53 and strike-rate of 114.14 in 106 T20 matches.
Northants head coach David Ripley said: "Kyle is a good T20 player... with us missing a few experienced players like Adam Rossington, Rob Newton and Rob Keogh through injury having someone like Kyle in the squad will be good for us.
"We're looking forward to welcoming Kyle back to the County Ground for the next few weeks."
