Lord's will be used for parking and storage for nearby hospitals while donations have been made to City Harvest London
Marylebone Cricket Club have offered their assistance to the fight against the coronavirus with a series of measures to help the local community.
Parking spaces at Lord's have been opened up for staff working at three nearby hospitals.
Wellington Hospital, University College Hospital and the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth are those to benefit from the venture.
Furthermore, the MCC will provide food to a charity which specialises in providing resources to other organisations that feed the hungry.
Beneficiaries City Harvest London, based in Acton, distribute fresh food in a sustainable way across the capital.
The announcement comes with the MCC in constant dialogue over how they, in partnership with Westminster City Council, can support the community during such a troubled time.
"We are mindful of our responsibility as a sporting institution and as a member of the local community to play our part," a statement read.
Though professional cricket across the world has been halted due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the sport has still strived to make a difference during the period.
Bangladesh players have donated half a month's wages to help fight the spread of the virus, while clubs such as Durham have opened their doors to the NHS and the local council.
The PCB have meanwhile allowed their high-performance centre in Karachi to be used by paramedics fighting the disease.
