Batsman Will Pucovski is set to make his first appearance in a match since he was released from the Australia Test squad to continue receiving treatment for his mental health.
The 21-year-old will take to the field for Premier cricket side Melbourne in their fixture against the Camberwell Magpies at Camberwell Sports Ground on Saturday, February 16.
This news follows him being crowned as the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year at the Australian Cricket awards on Sunday.
Will Pucovski was named Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year
He had looked set to make his Test debut in the first match against Sri Lanka, but was overlooked in favour of Kurtis Patterson, who scored two centuries against the Sri Lankans in their warm-up match.
Pucovski was then released from the squad after also not being picked for the second Test with Australia team doctor saying: "He reported some challenges over the past few days, and the decision has been made that the best thing for Will"s welfare is for him to return home to Melbourne."
His initial selection had come as something of a surprise, as he had only just returned to playing from an initial period of treatment after suffering a breakdown in the middle of a match.
