Captain Eoin Morgan confirmed he and his teammates would show their support for the West Indies squad and management
England's cricketers will take the knee in solidarity with West Indies ahead of the two sides' T20 World Cup opener on Saturday.
The anti-racism gesture has been sidelined by the men's national side for more than a year, having first been used by England during the Test series against the Windies in the summer of 2020.
Captain Eoin Morgan confirmed he and his teammates would show their support for the West Indies squad and management.
“We have heard from the West Indies that they will be taking a knee and we will join them for that first game,” Morgan said.

Beyond the West Indies fixture, however, England's players are not expected to continue taking the knee.
Instead, they may take part in a so-called 'moment of unity', similar to those employed during matches against New Zealand earlier this year.
“In games going on from there, we’ve been speaking to the ICC about the potential for a moment of unity before the game, as we’ve been doing, but it hasn’t been cleared up yet whether that’s a possibility or not,” Morgan said.
