Grace Ballinger is a tall left-arm seamer who progressed through the Warwickshire academy system and featured in the England training squad before joining Lightning in 2020.

Despite the previous two years being heavily impacted by injuries, she managed to make three appearances in 2020. She took her first wickets for Lightning the following season, picking up four dismissals in three Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings and three in four Charlotte Edwards Cup appearances.

Ballinger attended Loughborough University, studying English literature, and was a promising cross-country runner at school.
