Grace Ballinger is a tall left-arm seamer who progressed through the Warwickshire academy system and featured in the England training squad before joining The Blaze (then known as Lightning) in 2020.

Despite the previous two years being heavily impacted by injuries, she managed to make three appearances in 2020. She took her first wickets for Lightning the following season, picking up four dismissals in three Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings and three in four Charlotte Edwards Cup appearances.

Ballinger made 10 appearances throughout 2022 across both competitions, particularly shining in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy where she took nine wickets at 17.77.

The bowler signed her first professional contract with The Blaze in February 2023.

Ballinger attended Loughborough University, studying English literature, and was a promising cross-country runner at school.
