Pace bowler Beth Langston is one of the senior players in a youthful Diamonds squad, a player with half a dozen international caps to her name and a member of England's 2017 World Cup-winning side.

She began her career with Essex in 2009 before moving north in 2015 and has since represented Yorkshire, Loughborough Lightning, Yorkshire Diamonds and New Zealand T20 outfit Otago Sparks among others.

In 2020 and 2021, she was Northern Diamonds' leading wicket-taker in List A cricket, picking up 25 wickets in two seasons, and also proved herself to be a more than handy lower-order batter, hitting two half-centuries in the 2021 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. Her form earned her a return to the England A setup.

Injuries, however, have not been kind to Langston. A stress fracture in her back took her away from the game just as she was attempting to force her way into the England side around a decade ago while in 2022 a ruptured ACL curtailed her season in August, forcing her to watch the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final from the sidelines.

Playing in glasses until the age of 23, Langstone classes Daniel Vettori as her cricketing hero.
