Utilita Bowl: Bears 165-9, Hampshire 149-6 - Bears won by 16 runs

Davina Perrin once again demonstrated her exciting talent with 70 as Bears downed Hampshire Hawks and booked their place in the T20 Blast Women's Finals Day.

Teenager Perrin held Bears' innings together, having been 41 for four in the powerplay to prove why she is the second top-scorer in the Women's Blast.

Her 70 in 48 balls set her side to 165, which Ellyse Perry threatened to ease to with an exceptional 58.

But the Hawks couldn't keep up with the rate and only managed 149 in their 20 overs to lose by 16 runs to send Bears to the showpiece event at the Kia Oval next Sunday.

Old Trafford: Lancashire 148-7, Durham 149-8 - Durham won by two wickets

A spectacular 43 by Bess Heath allied to a good bowling performance took Durham to a narrow two-wicket victory with four balls to spare against Lancashire Thunder.

Heath strode to the crease with Durham on 73 for 3 in the tenth over of their reply with Alana King (3 for 24) threatening to turn the game in the hosts' favour, but her 23-ball innings transformed the run chase with the visitors finishing on 149 for 8 despite a late Lancashire fightback.

Emma Lamb signed off with a brilliant 74 for Thunder, but her fine effort was the highlight for the hosts, with both teams' top three ambitions depending on later results.

Lamb, who joins up with the England squad after this match, scored exactly half of her team's 148 for 7 with Sophia Turner taking 3 for 27 and Katie Levick 2 for 27 as Durham fought back well in the second half of the Thunder innings to restrict the hosts' total.

Kia Oval: Surrey 175-6, Somerset 107 - Surrey won by 68 runs

Alice Monaghan's maiden T20 half-century was the catalyst for Surrey's 68-run win over struggling Somerset to leave them a point away from clinching top spot in the table.

The Hampshire academy graduate, who missed part of the season with a broken thumb, struck four sixes in her unbeaten 57 off 32 balls, sharing a stand of 85 for the fifth wicket with Emma Jones (34) in Surrey's imposing 175 for 6. Chloe Skelton (2 for 20) and Erin Vukusic (2 for 37) took two wickets apiece for Somerset.

In the face of a brilliant fielding display in which Alice Capsey and Kalea Moore both took catches which had to be seen to be believed, Somerset were never in the hunt in reply, bowled out for 107, spinner Dani Gregory finishing with 4 for 13.

Chelmsford: The Blaze 139, Essex 104-9 - The Blaze won by 35 runs

Sarah Glenn and Cassidy McCarthy stifled Essex's batting as The Blaze successfully defended 139 at Chelmsford to seal their place at Women's T20 Blast Finals Day.

England leg-spinner Glenn finished with figures of 3 for 17, following seamer McCarthy's 1 for 8 from three overs up top, and skipper Kirstie Gordon weighed in with 4 for 22, including two wickets in as many balls.

Those efforts all helped to ensure Essex were restricted to just 104 for 9 in reply – and the home side's defeat leaves them only a remote mathematical chance of joining The Blaze in the last four.

Earlier, Heather Graham top-scored with 33 from 23 as the visitors were bowled out two deliveries short of their full allocation, with Essex seamer Eva Gray recording a season's best of 4 for 18.
