In her 57 T20Is, she has scored 672 runs, at an average of 22.40, a strike rate of 138.27 and with a high score of 43.

On Tryon's T20I debut against West Indies in the 2010 T20 Women’s World Cup she took two wickets in her first over.

In the same match she also became the first and only female cricketer in World T20I history to take a wicket with her first ball.

As well as making a name for herself on the international stage, she represented Hobart Hurricanes in the recent edition of the WBBL.

She scored 172 runs at an average of 28.7 and with a high score of 44 not out.

Tryon has become a well-respected middle-order batsman, and continues to grow from strength to strength in the South Africa team.

A fearless modern cricketer, there is little doubt that Tryon is well poised to make an impact for South Africa in the T20 Women’s World Cup.
