Quinton de Kock has picked up a wrist injury
South Africa wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock will miss the rest of his side's ODI series against India because of a wrist injury.
De Kock, who has been struggling for form with the bat in both the long and short formats, is expected to require as long as four weeks to recover, Cricket South Africa said in a statement.
That means he will be unavailable for the remaining four matches of the one-day international series as well as the T20 internationals that follow.
Proteas team manager, Dr Mohammed Moosajee said: “Quinton suffered an extreme blow to the left wrist while batting in the second ODI on Sunday and felt severe pain and discomfort.
“Further investigation revealed severe bony bruising to the area, with associated swelling around the tendon in the wrist."

De Kock will miss the rest of the ODI series against India
"This type of injury will require between 2-4 weeks to heal, which subsequently rules him out of the remainder of the ODI and T20 series against India.
“The Cricket South Africa medical team will aim to have him ready for the Test series against Australia starting next month.”
No replacement has been named for De Kock, who joins Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers on the treatment table ahead of the third ODI against India in Cape Town on Wednesday.
The Proteas trail 2-0 in the series following a nine-wicket defeat at Centurion over the weekend.
The hosts were dismissed for just 118 - their lowest ever home total when bowled out in a one-day international.
