Paarl Royals were given a fright when Jacks collected two wickets in an over for Pretoria Capitals, including this ripper to dismiss Buttler
There is a heavy English flavour to the inaugural SA20 and that was evident again as Paarl Royals faced Pretoria Capitals on Sunday (January 22).
It was Jos Buttler of the Royals coming up against Capitals pair Adil Rashid and Will Jacks at Boland Park.
Rashid only bowled seven balls to Buttler, conceding just five runs within figures of 1 for 26.
But Jacks, who was handed just a single over in the Royals chase, delivered the ultimate scalp to give his side late hope of victory.
He took a wicket with his first ball, as Dane Vilas slashed to Jimmy Neesham for 24. And two deliveries later he was celebrating again.
The Surrey allrounder, who made his Test debut in Pakistan in December, floated a ball outside off stump which pitched, spun and bowled Buttler through the gate.
Buttler had the last laugh, however, as his Royals side beat Capitals by six wickets, chasing down their target of 159 with two balls remaining.
