All to play for as Multan Sultans take on Peshawar Zalmi

Sultans batsmen are putting the performances they need them to, and if their bowling attack can also produce, they might just get the win against Zalmi...

Multan Sultans will want to put their final-ball defeat against Lahore Qalandars behind them when they come up against Peshawar Zalmi for the first time in the tournament.

Sultans’ batting lineup put in their best performance of the tournament as they posted 200 against Lahore with James Vince particularly impressing scoring a blistering 81 off 41 - the highest individual score of the competition so far.

There is little one can do about AB de Villiers sometimes though. The South Africa legend and his countryman David Wiese put on a remarkable 94-run partnership to win the match for Qalandars in what the Sultans will be hoping was a one-off.

Junaid Khan performed well on his return to the side with 3-39, but Sultans will still be concerned about the performances of Andre Russell who again failed to contribute with bat or ball.

James Vince hit 84, the highest score of the tournament so far

Multans batsmen will need to put in a similar performance against a Peshawar Zalmi bowling attack which has been causing havoc in the early stages.

Hasan Ali has been the star bowler of the tournament so far and is the leading wicket-taker with 11 at an average of just 8.09. He has been ably assisted by Wahab Riaz who has popped up with seven wickets.

Despite another good performance from Ali, who took 2-29, Zalmi are coming off the back of their first loss of the tournament after they lost by 12 runs to Islamabad United.

Multan will be hoping their bowlers can back their batsmen up on this occasion and get them the win.
