A government directive stating arrivals into the countryman but stay indoors for 14 days means the former Australia seamer is on lockdown
Jason Gillespie, the Sussex head coach, has returned to Australia and been placed in self-isolation due to government restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
The 44-year-old is back in his homeland after the ECB confirmed on Friday that professional cricket will not start until May 28, at the earliest.
Gillespie, the former Australia seamer, has therefore used the opportunity to travel home but he will be required to distance himself from others.
"Due to current events it was decided by Sussex and myself that it would be best if I was back home in Australia," he wrote on Twitter.
Due to current events it was decided by @SussexCCC and myself that it would be best if I was back home in Australia. Hence I am now home and in isolation for the next 2 weeks.

Rob Key backs October extension and extra January Tests to combat COVID-19 interruption
Sussex, like all counties, have seen their operations heavily disrupted by the COVID-19 crisis, with their pre-season trip to Cape Town curtailed.
They were due to face Hampshire, Surrey and Oxford MCCU in warm-up matches for the new campaign, but all three games have been cancelled.
Durham were due to be their first opponents of the regular season at Hove on April 12, the first of six matches to be shelved after last week's ECB announcement.
Our club @SussexCCC have been amazing looking after all our players and staff. We cut short our pre season trip to Cape Town and the clubs absolute priority has always been staff and players that were home and away.
