Hafeez was due to fly to England with the rest of the Pakistan squad on June 28 but had been told to spend two weeks in isolation after giving a positive sample earlier this week
Mohammad Hafeez claims a private test showed he does not have Covid-19, hours after the PCB announced he had returned a positive result.
Hafeez was due to fly to England with the rest of the Pakistan squad on June 28 but had been told to spend two weeks in isolation after giving a positive sample earlier this week.
However, the allrounder and his family organised a second, independent swab test on Tuesday evening at the Chughtai Lab, the results of which he posted on social media on Wednesday.
He tweeted: "After Tested positive COVID-19 acc to PCB testing Report yesterday,as 2nd opinion & for satisfaction I personally went to Test it again along with my family and here I along with my all family members are reported Negetive Alham du Lillah. May Allah keep us all safe".

Hafeez was one of 10 Pakistan players to test positive. A further member of the backroom staff also gave a positive test.
Three Test matches and three T20Is have been scheduled against England in August and September.
The tour is not in doubt, according to both PCB chief executive Wasim Khan and ECB director of England men's cricket Ashley Giles.
The PCB have planned a second set of tests for all those who showed up as positive, which are due to take place next week.
