The Yorkshire Diamonds boss is the first English coach to be named as a head coach for the competition
Former England international Danielle Hazell has been appointed head coach of the Leeds-based team in The Hundred.
The former offspinner, who coaches Yorkshire Diamonds in the Kia Super League, retired from England international duty in January and is now the first English coach to be confirmed as a coach of a side in next year's inaugural competition.
Hazell, a three-time Ashes winner, played for both Durham and Yorkshire during her playing days but is now looking to take the next step in her coaching career in the 100-ball competition.
"Things have happened pretty quickly in my coaching career but you have to take the bull by the horns and enjoy the opportunities that come your way and make the most of them," Hazell said.
"It's exciting to be involved in a massive step forward for women's domestic cricket. This can push the game forward.
"After spending my career travelling around the world it is great to be back in the north and putting something back into the region and the game."
