Glamorgan have named Chris Cooke as captain for the 2019 County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup.

Ingram will return to Sophia Gardens to lead the side in the Vitality Blast but will miss the One-Day Cup due to his commitments in the IPL.

"I’m delighted to take over the captaincy of the club which is great honour," Cooke said.

"I really enjoyed the experience of being vice-captain last year, so I’m excited to take on the role on a more permanent basis.

"We didn’t reach our potential last season and there is a lot we can improve on, but the boys are a very talented bunch and hopefully we can show that this year by challenging across the competitions and make Wales Proud."
