Beaconsfield Cricket Club in Buckinghamshire was broken into and had tonnes of rubbish dumped on their ground for the second time in 12 months.

A huge pile of building waste, office chairs and tins of rapeseed oil among other things was left at their ground after it was broken into overnight on Tuesday.

The club could have to pay over £10,000 to have the waste removed from their ground.

Eileen Daniel, the club's chair of house and grounds, said: "This is a very serious criminal offence. The cost of removing the waste is likely to be more than £10,000.

"As well as being unsightly and inconvenient, the rubbish is a potential health hazard and this type of illegal activity is something that must be stopped."
