Imrul Kayes has missed out on Bangladesh's World Cup squad.
The batsman, who averages a shade over 32 across 78 one-day internationals, was not included in the 15-man group named by the country on Tuesday.
Mashrafe Mortaza captains the squad, which does feature Mahmudullah and Rubel Hossain despite their recent respective shoulder and side problems.
Mustafizur Rahman makes the cut despite suffering a sprained ankle while warming up for a Dhaka Premier League game on Thursday. The injury is likely to keep him sidelined for two weeks.
"We are hopeful he will play the World Cup," Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Debashis Chowdhury told AFP.
"With the amount of time we have and the current improvement rate of the players, I don t think any one will miss the World Cup."
