Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Knight Riders 149-9, Dubai Capitals 150-3 – Dubai Capitals won by seven wickets

Scorecard

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders are still looking for their maiden ILT20 win after suffering a seven-wicket defeat against Dubai Capitals.

The Knight Riders, led by Sunil Narine, have picked up just one point this season, courtesy of their clash with Gulf Giants being abandoned due to the weather.

For Dubai Capitals, however, the win moves them to within three points of top spot despite placing fifth in the table.

Batting first, Joe Clarke blasted 52 runs off 27 runs at the top of the order to give the Knight Riders some impetus but he lacked support from any of his teammates.

Narine, batting at No.9, was the only other player to pass 20 with the bat (and one of only four, including Clarke, to reach double figures), scoring 23 runs off 13 balls at the death to help his side close on 149 for 9.

Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 16, while Akif Raja chipped in with 2 for 23.

In reply, Scotland's George Munsey anchored the Capitals' successful chase, scoring 57 runs off 43 balls before being removed by Andre Russell (caught Clarke) in the 16th over.

Contributions from Niroshan Dickwella (37 off 22), Dasun Shanaka (28 off 22) and captain Rovman Powell (21 not out off 14) saw the Capitals home with 14 balls to spare.

Akeal Hosein (1 for 21) and Lahiru Kumara (1 for 33) were the wicket-takers alongside Russell.
