Mohammad Amir and Sandeep Lamichhane are among the overseas signings confirmed by Jamaica Tallawahs for the Caribbean Premier League.

Amir, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020, represented the Barbados Royals last year, taking 11 wickets at an average of 13.54.

The left-arm seamer has plenty of T20 experience, having taken 248 wickets in 219 matches in his career.

Leg-spinner Lamichhane is one of four overseas players to have previously played for the Tallawahs to return for this season, having taken 12 wickets in the 2020 competition.

The Nepalese international proved himself as a very economical bowler two years ago, going at just 5.27 runs per over.

Imad Wasim, Chris Green and Miguel Pretorious also return to the Tallawahs, having featured for the franchise in 2021.

The 10th edition of the CPL gets underway on August 31, when Tallawahs face St Lucia Kings in the opening game.

Tallawahs have seven spots remaining in their squad, which will be filled during the CPL draft on July 7.
