T20 globetrotters Faf du Plessis, Tim David and David Weise are among those announced as the St Lucia Kings’ overseas signings for the 2022 Caribbean Premier League.

South African Du Plessis captained Kings to their second final in two years last year and continues his association with the franchise.

Thirty-seven-year-old Wiese and David, who finished with the third-most runs in the tournament in 2021, have also been retained.

Scott Kuggeleijn returns to St Lucia after last playing for the franchise in 2020.

While he was released last year alongside Mohammad Nabi and Najbullah Zadran, the Kiwi finished the 2020 campaign as the top wicket-taker in the competition with 17 wickets at an average of 15.64.

Kings have just one overseas spot to fill, which will be announced in the coming weeks. The Kings will fill their six remaining spots during CPL draft, on Thursday (July 7).
