Adelaide Strikers' chances of reaching the post-season rounds of the Big Bash took another hit as they were thrashed at home by Perth Scorchers.
The Strikers were skittled out for just 92 in 17 overs, with only three batsmen reaching double figures, before leaders Perth rattled off the required runs with 53 balls to spare.
Three Scorchers bowlers took three wickets in another emphatic victory which consolidates their status as hot favourites to defend their BBL crown.

Overseas replacement David Payne took the new ball and ripped through the Adelaide top order, removing Australia international Travis Head for 9 and the in-form Matt Short for a four-ball duck.
He later added top-scorer Adam Hose to his victim list, caught and bowled for 30. No other batsman passed 11.
Peter Hatzoglou proved a potent weapon, taking 3 for 14 with his leg-breaks, while Lance Morris continued to impress with 3 for 26.

The Scorchers were never going to find difficulty in completing victory and, while openers Cameron Bancroft (7) and Stephen Eskinazi (17) went cheaply, Aaron Hardie and Josh Inglis put on 54 for the third wicket to take their side to the brink of the win.
Hardie could not see the job through, and was dismissed by Cameron Boyce for 43, but by then his side only needed five more runs to claim the points.
The Strikers have one game remaining in the league stage of the competition, and will be looking nervously over their shoulders.
