Perth Scorchers host the Adelaide Strikers in match 16 of the 2022/23 Big Bash, the 12th edition of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to start at 6:15 pm local time (10:15 am GMT) on Monday, December 26.
The game will be played in Perth at the Optus Stadium.
Table toppers Adelaide Strikers have had a dream start to the season so far, with three wins in four games. However, they lost their first game of the season to Brisbane Heat at The Gabba by six runs. Meanwhile, Scorchers are currently ranked third in the table with two wins in three.
The Scorchers registered a convincing victory over the Stars by 61 runs as their batters ran amock and scored 229 at Junction Oval, against Melbourne Stars.
Both these teams met twice in the last season and won a game each.

Scorchers have one of the most balanced squads in the BBL, and we can expect more fireworks when they go against in-form Strikers. The Strikers have a formidable batting line-up with Chris Lynn and Adam Hose, supported by Thomas Kelly and Colin de Grandhomme.
Strikers can boast Rashid Khan in the middle overs, helping them to control the scoring rate in the middle overs. A key moment in the game will be how Scorchers play out the champion leg spinner without hampering their scoring rate.
Sunny conditions are expected, and temperatures will be low-20s in Perth during the game.
The Scorchers are a settled unit and have found the winning combination. We can expect them to keep with the same formula and combination for this encounter on Boxing Day.
Even though the Strikers lost their previous game, they will likely continue with the same XI.

The home team Perth Scorchers are available on 8/11, while Adelaide Strikers are on 6/5.
Both teams are evenly matched. Hence we can expect a cliffhanger of a game. But with home advantage and the performance in the previous match, Perth Scorchers might just sneak past the Strikers in this encounter.
Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, with prices starting from $27 for adults and $11 for children. Family tickets are available with two kids and adults for $65.
