He let loose after Australia were consigned to their first ever home Test series defeat to India, arguing that James Pattinson should be picked ahead of Starc and tweeting that Dyer should be removed
Former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has had quite a lot to say after Australia fell to the first ever home Test series defeat to India.
Not only has he renewed his calls for Australian Cricketers Association president Greg Dyer to resign, but he has also argued that Mitchell Starc should be dropped for the upcoming Ashes.
Warne took to Twitter to call for Dyer’s removal:
Spot on Jnr, runs & wickets is what it’s all about, to many excuses being thrown around. The player knows - I think it’s time for some tough love not rested & cuddled. As for you Greg Dyer, I think it’s time for you to move on ! https://t.co/ff1eb3CQls

This came after he confirmed on Fox Sports that he believed it was in Australia’s best interests to drop Starc.
"I’ve dropped Mitchell Starc," he said.
"I think he is still the best bowler if he is fit and bowling well, but I don’t think he has bowled well for a long period of time.
"The stats back that up against the top six batsmen he is averaging around 50."
Mitchell Starc has taken 13 wickets at 34.53 during the series against India
This is not the first time Warne has criticised Starc, who responded during the Test series by saying he was “not going to pay attention” to what Warne had to say.
Warne went on to argue that Australia would be better off picking Victoria’s James Pattinson, and also called for Marcus Stoinis to be selected.
"Pattinson in English conditions will bowl well, his variety will make him a very handy bowler in English conditions with the Duke ball," he added.
Marcus Stoinis and James Pattinson were Warne's suggestions for the Australia squad
"I was there the other night when [Stoinis] made 80 against the Renegades in the Big Bash.
"It was a clever 80 and if there has been a criticism of Stoinis it is that he has played some dumb shots and dumb cricket.
"I think he is starting to grow and mature and he is comfortable in his own skin and he is a good player."
