Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore 192-3, Sunrisers Hyderabad 125 - Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 67 runs
Royal Challengers Bangalore got a net run rate boost in their pursuit of a top-four spot in the Indian Premier League, and inflicted a fourth straight defeat on Sunrisers Hyderabad.
RCB posted an excellent first-innings total of 192 for 3 after winning the toss at the Wankhede Stadium, with Faf du Plessis anchoring the side, before Wanindu Hasaranga claimed five wickets in Sunrisers' dismal reply.
It means that Bangalore, whose afternoon had began in very different fashion when Virat Kohli was dismissed by the first ball of the game, continue to occupy fourth spot in the standings.
Du Plessis led by example once again with the bat, shrugging off the early departure of opening partner Kohli to score 73 not out from 50 balls.

The South African was ably supported by Rajat Patidar (48 off 38) and Glenn Maxwell (34 off 24) before Dinesh Karthik's explosive innings injected extra momentum into RCB's innings at the death.
Karthik managed 30 from just eight deliveries, with five boundaries - four of them sixes, as 33 runs were added in the final 10 balls.
In reply, Sunrisers lost both openers for ducks - with captain Kane Williamson run out without scoring. Rahul Tripathi did his best to give his team hope with 58 from 37 deliveries, but otherwise Hyderabad's chase was meek and weak.
Hasaranga become the second spinner to claim a five-wicket haul in this IPL campaign, rattling through the SRH middle order - including the scalps of Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran. He finished with terrific figures of 5 for 18.
