Where is the match being played?

Every game in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League is being held at Warner Park on St Kitts, in an effort to minimise the Covid-19 risk to the tournament.

Who’s got the form?

Jamaica Tallawahs are struggling for consistency in this season's CPL, alternating between winning and losing in their opening four matches. The Tallawahs set the second-highest score (255) in CPL history to thump Saint Lucia Kings by 120 runs in their season opener before slipping to a 15-run defeat when chasing 162 to beat Barbados Royals. They took revenge on the Royals three days later, defeating them by six wickets, before losing by the same score to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Trinbago Knight Riders produced an exact reverse of Jamaica's form in their opening four matches, losing their first and third matches but winning their second and fourth ones. In their fifth match of their title defence, they tied with Guyana Amazon Warriors, both teams scoring 138 runs, before losing in a Super Over. Trinbago scored 4 for 1 off their allocation, while Guyana scored 6 for 2 off five balls to take the win.

When these two sides met last season, Trinbago Knight Riders won both matches, winning by 19 runs in their first clash and by two wickets in the second.

Who to watch?

This match is going to be a battle of the big hitters with Carlos Brathwaite and Andre Russell likely lining up for the Tallawahs and Kieron Pollard captaining Trinbago.

Russell has already demonstrated his powers in this season's CPL, scoring a 14-ball 50 against St Lucia Kings, but has only scored 11 runs in his other three outings, including scoring a duck against Barbados Royals. Brathwaite has scored 56 runs off 44 balls, not a bad return but below his usual boundary-crunching standards. Pollard, however, who is ranked first on the T20 Player Index, has scored a team-leading 123 runs for Trinbago, including one half-century, 10 fours and eight sixes. The 34-year-old is the only player to pass 50 for the Knight Riders; Kennar Lewis has is Jamaica's other half-century-maker.

With the ball, Migael Pretorius is the leading wicket-taker for the Tallawahs, with 10 wickets, but has been expensive (9.62 runs per over). Russell is second on the list, with four. For Trinbago, Ravi Rampaul has taken 13 wickets and bowled with an economy of 7.29, while Isuru Udana is second with eight. Sitting first and second in the wicket-taking charts, the battle between Rampaul and Pretorius could be exciting.
