The Bangladesh Premier League gets underway on January 5, 2019, with the full draft to take place on October 28
David Warner will make his Bangladesh Premier League debut with Sylhet Sixers signing up the Australian batsman as their second overseas player.
In a video on the Sixers' Facebook page, Warner said: "Hello Bangladesh, David Warner here. I am very excited to let you know that I am now a Sixer. I cannot wait to be a part of the Sylhet Sixers family. See you soon."
Since his ban for his part in the Newlands ball-tampering affair, Warner has represented two T20 outfits - Winnipeg Hawks (Global T20 Canada) and St Lucia Stars (CPL) - as well as turning out for Randwick-Petersham, for whom he hit a 98-ball century, in Sydney grade cricket.
Warner hit 109 runs at an average of just 13.62 for the Hawks, hitting one fifty.
His form improved in the Caribbean Premier League where he registered 220 runs in nine knocks, including a highest score of 72 not out in a losing effort against Trinbago Knight Riders at Gros Islet.
Sylhet have also snapped up Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who will play for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash either side of his stint with the Sixers.
