Yorkshire have allowed spinner James Logan to leave the club at the end of his contract.

The 22-year-old played two first-class matches during his Headingley career.

His debut came against Worcestershire in 2018 before facing Warwickshire in his most recent outing last season.

But having not featured for Yorkshire in 2020 - he played a handful of matches for Durham seconds - the decision has been taken to release him.

"I’ve really enjoyed my time at Yorkshire and would like to thank all the coaches who have worked with me since I started at the age of 11, and the players who I’ve shared a dressing room with," he said.

"I’m now looking forward to the 2021 season when hopefully I can earn an opportunity to play first-class and limited-overs cricket at a county again."

Director of cricket Martyn Moxon added: "James’ opportunities to play first-team cricket are expected to be limited next season and as such the club have decided not to offer him a contract extension.

"Everyone at the club would like to wish James every success in the future."
