Mumbai: Delhi Capitals 211-4, UP Warriorz 169-5 - Delhi Capitals won by 42 runs

Delhi Capitals maintained their winning start in the Women's Premier League by seeing off UP Warriorz in Mumbai.

Player of the match Jess Jonassen struck an unbeaten 42 before taking 3 for 43 in the chase.

Capitals captain Meg Lanning (70) struck a second consecutive half-century before Jemimah Rodrigues (34) and Jonassen's unbroken fifth-wicket partnership worth 67.

Lanning's side surpassed 200 for the second time in as many games, leaving Warriorz needing the highest chase in the WPL to win.

Jonassen and Marizanne Kapp took three wickets between them to reduce Warriorz to 31 for 3. Alyssa Healy (24), Shweta Sehrawat (1) and Kiran Navigire (2) all departed to leave the reply in disarray.

Tahlia McGrath launched a terrific counterattack, smashing 90 from 50 balls but she lacked support.

Devika Vaidya became Jonassen's third victim, finding the safe hands of Radha Yadav when attempting to go down the ground, to end any faint hopes of victory.

McGrath was in full flow at the death, hitting a quartet of fours off Kapp, launching Jonassen for a six and four in the next over before doing the same to Arundhati Reddy, but it was too little, too late for Warriorz who suffered their first defeat of the tournament.
