WOMEN'S ONE DAY CUP ROUNDUP: The second matchday of the tier-one season saw a second victory for Lancashire, while Surrey were beaten for the second time in succession
Chester-le-Street: Durham 200, The Blaze 201-5 - The Blaze win by five wickets
Scotland allrounder Kathryn Bryce starred with two wickets and 54 to help The Blaze claim a comeback win as they put the skids under a strong Durham start in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup women's competition at the Banks Homes Riverside.
Durham, inserted, motored to 164 for 2 after 36 overs but lost eight wickets for 36 to be bowled out for 200 in the 48th, including three for impressive England leg-spinner Sarah Glenn. The collapse saw England fringe duo Hollie Armitage and Mady Villiers fall for 81 and 45 after they had shared a third-wicket 114.
Five Durham batters fell to leg-spin. Glenn returned three for 45 from 10 overs and Josie Groves added two. Kathryn Bryce returned 2 for 26 from 8.2 overs of seam.
In reply, The Blaze, beaten by Lancashire in Wednesday's opener, eased to their target for the loss of five wickets inside 38 overs thanks largely to brilliant Bryce's seven fours in 57 balls. She had also scored 70 against Lancashire.

Chelmsford: Bears 289, Essex 181 - Bears win by 108 runs
Emily Arlott's maiden List A hundred spearheaded a stirring Warwickshire fightback as they recovered from 22 for 5 to overcome Essex for their first win in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup women's competition.
The 27-year-old seamer flourished with the bat, hitting 130 from 141 balls and sharing century partnerships with both Chloe Brewer (44) and Charis Pavely (31) to propel the Bears to 289 all out at Chelmsford.
Essex seamer Eva Gray returned career-best figures of 5 for 62 – but the home side's tally of 32 wides did them no favours and they were bowled out for 181 in response, despite half-centuries from Grace Scrivens and Cordelia Griffith.
Left-armer Katie George and medium-pacer Brewer picked up three wickets apiece as Essex were dismissed with 11 overs unused.
Southampton: Hampshire 259-8, Surrey 209 - Hampshire win by 50 runs
Maia Bouchier put her Women's Ashes woes behind her to strike an attractive 61 to set Hampshire on their way to their first Metro Bank One-Day Cup women's competition victory.
England batter Bouchier only averaged six in the series defeat to Australia but was fluent in partnership with Ella McCaughan – who impressed with 61 as Hampshire reached 259 for 8.
Surrey faltered to 23 for 3 in reply, and although Alice Capsey picked up 57 and Alice Monaghan a brisk 40, Surrey begun their campaign with back-to-back defeats after falling 50 runs short.
Lauren Bell claimed 2 for 43, but it was spinner Linsey Smith who strangled and then disarmed the batters with a sensational 3 for 28.

Taunton: Somerset 205-9, Lancashire 207-3 - Lancashire win by seven wickets
Lancashire produced a convincing display with bat and ball at Taunton's Cooper Associates County Ground to beat Somerset by seven wickets and extend their winning start to the Metro Bank One Day Cup women's competition.
Inserted on a green-tinged pitch, Somerset slumped to 89 for 6 in the face of incisive bowling from Kate Cross and Hannah Jones, who returned figures of 2 for 27 and 2 for 23 respectively.
Alex Griffiths top-scored with 46 and added 56 for the seventh wicket with Amanda-Jade Wellington to threaten a meaningful recovery, but Emma Lamb bowled well at the death to claim 2 for 30 and help restrict the home side to 205 for 9.
Eve Jones and Lamb then confirmed Lancashire superiority in a match-winning opening stand of 151 in 28.1 overs to render the outcome a foregone conclusion. Jones posted an assured 97 from 11 balls with a six and 14 fours, while Lamb contributed 52 in an innings that spanned 68 deliveries and included a quartet of fours.
