Mills' recall to the England setup last year was partially a result of his excellent Hundred form in Brave's title-winning campaign
Tymal Mills has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred with a toe injury.
The England left-armer missed Southern Brave's first game of the tournament before returning for the second match, but he was absent again for the defeat by London Spirit on Friday.
Brave will be able to summon a replacement for the fast bowler, but the reigning champions are in the midst of an availability shortage in the seam department while they might also need to go unbeaten through the remainder of the group stage after their poor start.

Further fitness issues meant he was available for only one of England's six T20Is this summer – the defeat by India at the Ageas Bowl.
Brave's seamers in their most recent fixture were Michael Hogan, James Fuller, Chris Jordan and Marcus Stoinis, with Stoinis taking the new ball alongside Hogan, the 41-year-old Australian who was picked up as a wildcard ahead of the competition.
George Garton is having his workload managed after Long Covid, while Craig Overton has been on England Lions duty.
