The Edgaston-based side finished eighth and winless in the women's competition in 2023, failing to progress to the latter stages for a second straight campaign
Ellyse Perry will captain Birmingham Phoenix on her return to The Hundred.
The Australia allrounder was due to lead the side last term before a knee injury suffered during the Ashes forced her to withdraw from the competition completely.
Eve Jones stood in but Phoenix have gone back to Perry for the 2024 tournament, which begins on July 23.

In 2022, the New South Wales native scored 134 runs in six matches for Phoenix.
Phoenix went on to finish bottom of the table in 2023, failing to win any of their eight matches.

She was among seven players retained for the 2024 competition alongside New Zealand veteran Sophie Devine and England quick Issy Wong.
"I'm incredibly honoured to be named Birmingham Phoenix captain," said Perry. "It is a wonderful club which means a lot to me.

"It was really disappointing to miss out on joining the group last season so I'm really excited to be back this year."
Moeen Ali has meanwhile captained Phoenix men since the inaugural season in 2021.
