What happens?

On February 29, the teams confirmed which players they were retaining from their 2023 squad, with each of the eight men's sides allowed to keep up to 10 players, plus one centrally-contracted England player.

At the draft, the teams will take it in turns to select players until they all have 14 squad members (including the centrally-contracted England player). The two remaining spots (both at £30,000) in each men's team will be filled in the Vitality Wildcard Draft later this year.

Each team has one 'right to match' option, which enables them to re-sign one of their released 2023 players when a rival team selects them during the draft. They have to offer the same salary as the new team.

Each team can have a maximum of three overseas players.

Reserve prices signify the lowest amount of money a player can be bought for.

Who picks first?

The draft order is the 2023 final standings in reverse, with eighth-placed Northern Superchargers awarded the first pick.

They will be followed by London Spirit, Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire, Southern Brave, Manchester Originals, and defending champions Oval Invincibles.

What are the salary bands?

Each men's squad has the following salary structure: £125,000 (two players, plus one England centrally contracted player), £100,000 (two), £75,000 (two), £60,000 (two), £50,000 (two), £40,000 (two), £30,000 (three, including two wildcard picks).
