North Group

Chesterfield: Yorkshire 200-6, Derbyshire 201-3 Derbyshire won by seven wickets

A brutal innings from Aneurin Donald drove Derbyshire Falcons to a seven-wicket victory over Yorkshire in the T20 Blast North Group at Chesterfield.

Donald reached 50 off 13 balls, the joint fastest in the Blast, and smashed seven sixes and eight fours in 85 from 30 balls as the Falcons cruised to a target of 201 in 17.2 overs with Wayne Madsen unbeaten on 38.

It condemned Yorkshire to an eighth consecutive Blast defeat at Queen's Park and put a big dent in their chances of reaching the knock-outs.

Chester-le-Street: Durham 182-7, Bears 174-8 - Durham won by eight runs

Durham gave their chances of reaching the knockout stages of the T20 Blast a massive boost when they defeated Birmingham Bears by eight runs at the Banks Homes Riverside.

Needing 183 to secure their sixth win of their Blast campaign, the Bears were restricted to 174 for 8 with Zak Foulkes taking three catches and two wickets to add to the ex-Bear Will Rhodes's 51 in his side's 182 for 7.

Northampton: Northamptonshire 152-9, Worcestershire 153-4 - Worcestershire won by six wickets

Kashif Ali struck a commanding 88 off just 46 balls, his highest T20 score, to help steer Worcestershire Rapids to a six-wicket victory over Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Wantage Road, and keep their qualification hopes alive.

Kashif was in total control, smashing seven fours and six sixes during a third-wicket stand of 127 with Gareth Roderick (36) – the highest for Worcestershire against any opposition in T20 cricket, beating the previous best accumulated by Brett D'Oliveira and Adam Hose against Yorkshire at Worcester just last month.

Ben Sanderson (2 for 24) removed both set batters in the 15th over, but by then Worcestershire were closing in on victory and sent Northamptonshire to their fourth straight defeat.

Trent Bridge: Leicestershire 188-2, Nottinghamshire 189-9 - Nottinghamshire won by one wicket

Notts Outlaws kept alive an outside chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast as they chased down a target of 189 to beat North Group rivals Leicestershire Foxes, winning by one wicket with just a ball to spare in a breathtaking finish at Trent Bridge.

The only one-wicket victory in the county's T20 history was achieved when last man Farhan Ahmed squirted the penultimate ball into the offside off Logan van Beek (three for 25) and, running back for a second run, scrambled home as Foxes wicketkeeper Ben Cox fumbled his take from the boundary fielder's throw.

It capped a superb fightback by the Outlaws, who had looked out of contention at 100 for four in the 11th over, despite skipper Joe Clarke's 50 from 24 balls.

The chase was reignited by Daniel Sams smashing 33 off just 12 balls and Tom Moores 42 off 30, only for three quick wickets to tip the pendulum back towards the visitors, before 17-year-old Farhan had the last word in a thrilling finale.

South Group

Cardiff: Kent 118-9, Glamorgan 122-4 - Glamorgan won  by six wickets

Glamorgan completed a comprehensive victory over Kent to keep pressure on the qualification spots in the South Group of the T20 Blast.

On a home return to Sophia Gardens in their T20 campaign, Glamorgan had over eight overs to spare as they chased 119 in an explosive second innings after a dominant bowling display.

Andy Gorvin returned career-best figures of 4 for 17, along with Ned Leonard taking nine wickets in his last two matches. Only Jack Leaning put up some resistance with 45 from 40 balls to recover Kent from 27 for 3 after six overs.

Kiran Carlson top-scored for Glamorgan with a quickfire 34 balls as a series of cameos secured a comfortable six-wicket victory.

Utilita Bowl: Hampshire 178-3, Somerset 179-6 - Somerset won by four wickets

Somerset returned to winning ways in the Men's T20 Blast and cemented their place at the top of the South Group with a last-over win over Hampshire Hawks.

Sean Dickson led Somerset's chase of 179 with a sublime 52, having been accompanied by Tom Abell in an 89-run fourth-wicket partnership.

But a spree of wickets made sure the visitors still required 23 off two overs and then 11 off the last, but Ben Green and Lewis Goldsworthy reached the winning line with a ball to spare.

BristolGloucestershire 204-5, Middlesex 195-7 - Gloucestershire won by nine runs

D'Arcy Short raised a thrilling half-century as resurgent Gloucestershire beat Middlesex by nine runs at Bristol's Seat Unique Stadium to extend their winning run in the T20 Blast to four games and keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Making up for lost time following a slightly disappointing start to his Gloucestershire career, the left-hander clubbed a breathtaking 83 from 48 balls, hit eight fours and five sixes and staged progressive stands of 100 and 52 with Miles Hammond and Cameron Bancroft for the first and second wickets respectively to propel Gloucestershire to 204 for 5 after they had lost the toss.

Hammond weighed in with a hard-hitting 48 from 33 balls, with 6 fours and 2 sixes, Bancroft contributed 30 not out from 19 deliveries, and Ben Charlesworth smashed a nine-ball 22, while Middlesex spinner Zafar Gohar claimed 3 for 54.

Stephen Eskinazi made a game of it, scoring a superb 75 from 41 balls, striking eight fours and three sixes and sharing in a high-octane opening stand of 87 in 7.5 overs with Kane Williamson, who made 34.

But Gloucestershire's bowlers held their nerve, Josh Shaw claiming 3 for 48, including the crucial wicket of Eskinazi, and David Payne and Graeme van Buuren returning figures of 1 for 22 and 1 for 28 respectively as the visitors came up short on 195 for 7 in an entertaining South Group contest.
