The PSL was suspended in March following an outbreak of Covid-19 within the tournament's bubble. It is due to recommence on Tuesday, June 1.
West Indies allrounder Russell - the third best T20 player in the world according to the T20 Player Index - will join Quetta Gladiators in the absence of England international batsman Tom Banton.

Bangladesh allrounder Shakib al Hasan was selected by Lahore Qalandars, while New Zealand's Martin Guptill has been picked by Karachi Kings. Australia's Usman Khawaja was Islamabad's pick to replace Alex Hales.
The draft took place online on Tuesday.

Inshallah Quetta Gladiators will win psl 2021.Quetta made a mistake they have choosen Andre Russell by replacing Tom Banton but they have not choosen player replacing Dale Steyn they are saying they will chose silver category player they should choose Matt Henry New Zealand cricket team player or they should choose Beuran Handricks silver category player of South Africa cricket team he is also a very good pacer
