Scorecard

Pretoria Capitals are the early leaders in the SA20 after maintaining their 100 per cent record with victory over Sunrisers Eastern Cape at Centurion.

Capitals put on the tournament's highest score so far - 216 for 6 - with Will Jacks thumping 92 off 46 balls.

The England Test allrounder smashed seven fours and eight sixes, but countryman Phil Salt (1) was dismissed via the seventh ball of the innings.

Theunis de Bruyn (42) and Shane Badswell (20 not out) helped Capitals pass 200.

The Sunrisers' attack took some heavy punishment, with Brydon Carse finishing with 1 for 43 and Ottniel Baartman taking 2 for 42.

Aiden Markram's side only briefly flirted with the total. JJ Smuts opened with 28 from 25 balls but Jordan Cox was dismissed first ball by Wayne Parnell, who also dismissed Sarel Erwee (8).

Markram steadied the ship with a breezy 46 but when he skied Corbin Bosch to Migael Pretorius their hopes took a major blow.

Adil Rashid then took control, getting rid of Tristan Stubbs (12) and James Fuller (11) while squeezing the scoring rate.

Marco Jansen (36 not out) and Carse (26 not out) put on 60 in 4.5 overs during a late salvo, hitting five fours and four sixes, but any hope of a dramatic victory was always out of their grasp.
