The Cricketer is delighted to announce Bonne Maman as an official partner of the National Village Cup. They are one of Britain’s best-loved conserves, famous for its signature gingham lids, use of simple, traditional methods and the finest natural ingredients.

Bonne Maman joins headline sponsors Voneus, and other official partners Pipers Crisps, Theakston and Bola in supporting this grassroots competition.

This season is the 50th edition of this summer-long knockout tournament, which has been run by The Cricketer since its inception, with Colwall CC from Herefordshire looking to defend their crown after a last-gasp victory over Hertfordshire’s Redbourn CC in September last year.

The Cricketer magazine editor Simon Hughes said: “This is a fantastic partnership for the competition. Cricket teas are an integral part of our game and Bonne Maman’s selection of premium conserves, chilled desserts, yoghurts and chutneys will certainly enhance village club spreads up and down the country.”

The first round gets underway on April 25 with a record number of village cricket clubs from England, Scotland and Wales competing in 32 regional groups. The group winners enter a national draw that culminates in a final at the Home of Cricket on September 19.
