ENGLAND

Rory Burns (57 & 90): The most runs the Surrey batsman has scored in a single game for England. Continues to be terrorised by Roston Chase but batted nicely twice. 8

Dom Sibley (0 & 56): Undone by a good one from Kemar Roach in the first over of the match but passed fifty at the second time of asking. Still not entirely comfortable when attacking. 7

Joe Root (17 & 68*): An unnecessary runout ended his first innings when looking nicely set, before his second effort gave England the impetus to declare as they fancied. 7

Ben Stokes (20): A rare quiet game for England’s talisman. Cleaned up by a cracking delivery from Roach and not needed as his side chased quick runs on the third day. Came through unscathed, which is the main thing. 5

Ollie Pope (91): After a quiet couple of games, a really fine knock when England needed it. He took England from 122 for 4 to 262 for 5 and deserved a century. 8

Jos Buttler (67): All things considered, a tremendously ballsy knock. He looked positive in defence, even if his innings began slowly, and then gradually expanded as he became more comfortable. A crucial effort alongside Pope. 7.5

Chris Woakes (1; 1-57 & 5-50): A tremendous display from a fine bowler, who thoroughly deserved the five-wicket haul that came his way to drive England to victory 8

Dom Bess (18*): A runout and a few runs. Nothing else to do for England's off-spinner, who ended Chase's resistance with a fantastic piece of fielding. 6

Jofra Archer (3; 1-72 & 0-24) Bowled better than his figures suggest and was probably unfortunate not to take more than single wicket in the match. 5

Stuart Broad (62*; 6-31 & 4-36): What more can you say? Ten wickets in the match, 501 in a remarkable Test career, even one of his eccentric cameos with the bat. Sixteen wickets in two games at 10.93 since being left out of the first Test. 9.9

James Anderson (11; 2-28 & 0-18): Hardly needed second time around, but two fine deliveries to dismiss Hope and Brooks in the first innings. 6

WEST INDIES

Kraigg Brathwaite (1 & 19): Stoic but awkward here once again. Two good deliveries from Broad to get him, including one that kept low. The answer one day to a pub quiz question as both Broad and Anderson's 500th victim. 4

John Campbell (32 & 0) Made his highest score of the series in the first innings but went without scoring to sign off a miserable personal tour for the left-hander, who found himself in the pocket of England’s seamers. 3

Shai Hope (17 & 31): So much talent but such a disappointing series for a batsman whose Test career has long been going south. A crass shot to end it all, hooking up in the air as his side fought to save the game. 4

Shamarh Brooks (4 & 22): Exceptionally watchable but undone here as England got to grips with a weakness around the angle of his bat coming down. 5

Roston Chase (9 & 7; 2-36 & 1-61): Needless to say, West Indies could have done without his runout on the fifth afternoon. A rare poor game with the bat but bowled manfully, keeping up his record against Rory Burns. 5

Jermaine Blackwood (26 & 23): Last man out, strangled down the legside. England had worked him out by the end, with Woakes knocking over his middle stump in the first innings. 5

Jason Holder (46 & 12; 1-83 & 1-24): Questionable decisions in selection and at the toss but bowled nicely yet again. His batsmen didn't score enough runs for him to impact the game with his captaincy. 5

Shane Dowrich (37 & 8): A real struggle for the West Indies wicketkeeper, who did well to escape more serious injury after being hit in the face by a delivery from Shannon Gabriel. Trapped lbw time and again as he got stuck on the crease. 4

Rahkeem Cornwall (10 & 2; 0-85 & 0-79): Took a fine catch at slip to dismiss Rory Burns at slip but dropped another and was outbowled by Chase. 4

Kemar Roach (0 & 4; 4-72 & 0-34): Has bowled his heart out through the entire series and thoroughly deserved to reach his 200-wicket milestone. A truly fine bowler. 6

Shannon Gabriel (0* & 0*; 2-77 & 0-19): Like Roach, has worked himself into the ground over the course of three back-to-back Tests. Deserves to put his feet up. 6
